Alan M. Jones  —  Of Counsel

Biography

Alan M. Jones was a founding partner of Jones Turner, LLP and is now of counsel to the firm. His practice focuses on first-party property insurance coverage issues and litigation involving the defense of those claims, subrogation, and construction law matters. He is experienced in all aspects of first-party property insurance, including bad faith defense, builder’s risk and other commercial coverages, homeowners policies, and fraud and arson claims.

Mr. Jones’ practice involves all phases of insurance claims-related issues, from providing guidance for investigations, conducting examinations under oath, drafting coverage opinions, conducting appraisals and mediations, and negotiating settlements with or for insurers, to defending both coverage and extra-contractual claims in litigation.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Jones was a claims adjuster and the claims manager for Transamerica Corporation. Upon graduation from law school in 1979, Mr. Jones was admitted to practice before the bars of the states of California and Michigan, as well as the United States District Courts in those states. He has been admitted to appear as counsel pro hac vice in several states throughout the western United States and in Pennsylvania.
