Steven D. Turner  —  Partner

Biography

Mr. Turner is a founding partner of Jones Turner, LLP. His practice is focused primarily on insurance and business litigation, with an emphasis in domestic and international subrogation, casualty and first-party disputes. Mr. Turner’s fluency in Spanish allows him to advise his clients in a wide variety of cross-border commercial and insurance matters in Latin America.

Mr. Turner litigates in various state and federal courts across the country. He recently served as both successful trial counsel and prevailing appellate counsel in the 9th Circuit COVID coverage case entitled Out West Restaurant Group, Inc. v. Affiliated FM Insurance Company (9th Cir., Sept. 2, 2022, No. 21-15585) 2022 WL 4007998.

Mr. Turner’s litigation skills are complemented by his experience in the dispute resolution arena, where he routinely represents clients in mediations, arbitrations and settlement negotiations. He received his Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, which is consistently ranked as the top ADR program in the United States.
